This package includes only the 3D print files, typically provided in STL, 3MF, or both formats. These files are compatible with almost all slicers and come packaged in a zip file. While these files are challenging to edit without the higher-tier CAD and 3D Print files, basic adjustments, like resizing or scaling, can quickly be done within the slicer to accommodate your printer's tolerance. The 3MF format is more modern and preferred than STL, offering significantly more control over the sliced parts.
This product is aimed at DIY sim builders who want more control over the print process or how the design operates.
Dual Flaps Gauge
Experience precision and ease with our dual-needle backlit gauge, inspired by the real-life expertise of Tuomas from Mobiflight. This device features independently driven needles, each powered by its stepper motor and homing microswitch, ensuring they always return to zero upon startup.
Key features:
Backlit Display: The entire unit can be illuminated, providing clear visibility in all lighting conditions.
Independent Stepper Motors: Each needle operates on a dedicated 28BYJ-28 stepper motor, offering reliable and accurate movement.
Homing Microswitch: Ensures needles are constantly reset to zero on power application, providing consistent and precise readings.
This gauge's 28BYJ-28 steppers and control boards are affordable and widely available, making needle attachment straightforward and hassle-free.
Before purchasing, check out our shop's physical decal plate and needles. These are uniquely designed to prevent light bleed while allowing light to travel through the necessary parts, ensuring optimal functionality and aesthetics. They are available [here].
This package contains the necessary print files to build the complete unit. Additional hardware and components needed for the build can be found [here].

FAQ:
- Will this fit cockpitsimparts MIP? We don't have one to check, but we doubt it without modification. The chances of having holes of the same size and position are slim.
- Which should I make, the single or Dual-needle unit? That depends on whether your sim can support dual needles. If not, a single needle and its simplicity is the way ahead.
- The lens looks cloudy and has marks on it. What should I do? Please peel the protective backing off both sides of the lens and the back of the decal plate. This should make the lens crystal clear. We leave this film on to protect the parts during shipping.
- The unit has two microswitches because each stepper and needle need to know where they are independent of each other. Each switch serves its stepper and stops it at zero, auto-calibrating it every time Mobiflght starts.
